Located in the center of the Dallas Arts District, the JW Marriott Dallas blends into its surroundings. Designed to sit atop an existing parking structure, the hotel offers panoramic views of the city and includes a roof top pool, poolside bar, and full service restaurant, as well as multiple meeting spaces and event venues. With a strong focus on the arts, the hotel’s design is deeply rooted in its creative community.

Salas O’Brien served as the acoustic consultant for this project. We Included designs for sound isolation due to the bustling urban setting, creating a more intimate experience for visitors to the downtown hotel. With a loud city surrounding the space, acoustic details to shield outdoor spaces from urban noise. Our team also implemented strategies to eliminate disturbances in the echo-prone atrium of the hotel, integrating solutions to mitigate noise from mechanical equipment and create an uninterrupted stay for guests.
