Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Radiation Oncology and Imaging Center

Salas O’Brien provided electrical and lighting design for the new specialty medical office building that features three linear accelerators, three MRI machines, a CT scan room, eight provider offices, and ten exam rooms.

We designed the all-electric, LEED Gold-certified cancer facility targeting net zero certification and utilizing only 7% of the solar photovoltaic capacity available on campus.

Unlike the traditional basement location for the linear accelerators, each is housed in a room with extensive natural lighting, color-changing mood lighting, and a green wall to provide an uplifting healing environment for cancer patients.

The high-performing design-build team delivered the project below budget and on schedule by collaborating closely and implementing Lean design and construction principles.
