Hot Springs Resort Redevelopment

Salas O’Brien partnered with Walter R. Allen Architect on the redevelopment of the Murrieta Hot Springs Resort, offering comprehensive engineering services to transform the resort into a revitalizing wellness destination. As a result of this collaboration, guests can now enjoy mineral hot spring soaks, cold plunges, mud bakes, wet and dry saunas, and a variety of inclusive wellness programs all set within the preserved character of this historic resort.

Our team provided structural engineering to stabilize the historic 1902 bathhouse through new foundation retrofits, while our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams provided interior enhancements to revitalize the spaces with upgraded HVAC systems, energy-efficient LED lighting, and new plumbing fixtures. We discreetly integrated compact systems into historic assemblies, utilizing strategies that prioritize humidity control, energy efficiency, life safety, and phased openings. The result is a resilient, inclusive wellness campus that strikes a balance between guest comfort, environmental stewardship, and lasting community value.
