Salas O’Brien partnered with Electric Owl Studios, the world’s first purpose-built LEED Gold-certified film and TV studio campus. Our team delivered comprehensive LEED consulting, advanced energy modeling, and full commissioning services, confirming that all building systems met the highest standards for sustainability and performance. The building’s LEED certification underscores its commitment to high-performance, environmentally responsible design and operation. We commissioned all MEP and renewable energy systems to confirm optimal functioning as designed. The campus, envisioned as the world’s most sustainable studio, includes eight stages, office and support spaces, storage facilities, workshops, and a 400-space parking area with three Base Camp zones. The facility features high-efficiency insulation, EV charging stations, and LED lighting, all designed to significantly reduce its carbon footprint. In addition, the studio plans to generate over 30 percent of its power from renewable sources.
