Diriyah Gate Arena

Salas O’Brien is designing innovative technological features for The Arena in Diriyah, a groundbreaking multipurpose entertainment venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This 20,000-seat arena is uniquely designed to host a diverse range of events, including sports, comedy shows, and both major and intimate concerts.

Our team is integrating various creative technological features, including a waterfall element, a glass facade with transparent LED screens, and side projections. We equipped the exterior monoliths with LED screens and projections, while the interior features movable LED screens that are configurable in various positions and modes depending on the event. The tension wire grid rigging system covers the entire arena interior and features LED pucks underneath that can display colors and video. Upper seating can be hidden with mounted room-scaling panels, allowing for a reduction in capacity if necessary.
