Deep Space & Conference Spaces

Epic built an 11,400-seat auditorium for annual user group meetings and monthly staff meetings. The wide, fan-shaped form of the auditorium is augmented with technology to provide an engaging experience for the audience. The centerpiece of the auditorium is the three LED Screens (Center: 68’ x 40’; Sides 42’ x 23’) that allow audience members to stay engaged with the presenter and content. We designed all AVL systems to integrate into Epic’s IT network for control and monitoring.

The acoustic design starts with the imagery provided by Epic. Our team suggests material options that include pre-manufactured solutions layered with custom elements. In the Cantina, the upper walls are acoustic plaster dyed to the desired colors, then airbrushed lightly to provide the textured look of a cave. In the Galaxy, what appears to be columns and windows are stretched fabric, creating the form with layered absorption and diffusive elements to create an improved acoustic experience.
