Salas O’Brien partnered with a confidential data center client to execute a 280MW phase of a master development in Atlanta, GA with targeted load densities as high as 1 MW per rack of 90%+ liquid-to-chip load. Our team collaborated closely with the client to integrate the latest data module design, which included a concurrently maintainable, flexible header with space for growth. The entire system was floor-supported to enable rapid and safe construction as well as excellent operational accessibility. This project leveraged a client-developed template that the team worked to execute for the specific site while helping find opportunities for improved cost, safety, and construction speed.

Our team operated as the prime design partner, organizing a large and flexible design team to meet a rapid schedule, issuing drawing sets in intervals as quickly as 3 weeks. We were responsible for creating a meeting cadence and operational structure that ensured continual client engagement and feedback while allowing for quick design reaction timing.
