CTE High School

The district partnered with Houston Community College on the project to help students in their careers and address specific community workforce shortages. This center’s unique learning objectives meant the district needed a partner with a thorough understanding of the industry that could also adapt to meet the district’s vision for the school.

Salas O’Brien’s engineering designs included an Interactive Observation Lab that utilizes an observation platform and a technology control system to allow for touchscreen or iPad control of the entire system. The lab enables students to observe and practice using a cohesive technology system that incorporates physical networks, programming, synergy, and flexibility.

Bolstered by excellent planning, design, and execution, the finished school is an engaging space for students to pursue targeted career preparation.
