RO Water Replacement

Salas O’Brien collaborated with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer to replace their reverse osmosis (RO) water system. We designed and led successful upgrades to the purified water generation, storage, and loop distribution systems. Additionally, we introduced quality improvements to production by designing ambient-temperature water for injection (WFI) equipment. Our team oversaw the upgrades for the entire site’s water controls and utility monitoring systems. Our project management responsibilities included preparing project estimations for funding, procuring equipment and services, commissioning, guiding shutdown efforts, and managing the project budget.

The successful implementation of the new systems provided business continuity for existing systems, removed safety hazards from site processes, improved water quality standards, and forwarded the site’s energy conservation initiatives.
