New Screening System

Salas O’Brien provided engineering services to design a new screening system within an existing Milled Limestone (MLS) plant to increase plant production. The new screen design allows smaller material to bypass the crusher, leaving only oversized material to be processed, and reduces waste. The new system’s structure had to be designed around the existing electrical bank, requiring creative solutions to avoid obstruction. Our team led a phased approach from conceptual layout through detailed engineering, developing coordinated mechanical, structural, and architectural packages supported by validated 3D models. We also coordinated closely with discipline teams, vendors, and equipment suppliers to accelerate procurement. Our design improved operations and positioned the plant for reliable performance and future continued optimization.
