Salas O’Brien developed a comprehensive security engineering package to support the addition and renovation of the Baldwin Health facility in Foley, AL. The project included the construction of a new 5-story patient and surgery tower featuring 10 operating rooms, 15 Post-Anesthesia Care
Unit (PACU) bays, 30 Prep and Recovery Bays, and an Endo/Bronch Suite. Additionally, the facility will have a new Women’s and Children’s Unit, 12 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rooms, 12 Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) rooms, and 36 Medical/Surgical rooms. We designed an entirely new set of security solutions to replace the outdated systems previously in use.

Our solutions included a new access control system, video surveillance system, infant abduction system, and a personal protection system for the frontline staff. Each of these solutions has been designed to be fully expandable and supportive of the 32 urgent care facilities, clinics, and surgery centers that Baldwin Health operates.
