Casino Resort New Construction

Salas O’Brien delivered comprehensive structural engineering design services for the Durango Station Casino Resort. Our team engineered a 15-story hotel tower housing 209 rooms and an expansive casino floor. The project featured four full-service restaurants, a food hall, a state-of-the-art sportsbook, and a large convention space.

Our engineers designed a robust structure capable of supporting diverse loads using conventional structural steel framing and steel moment frames. A key challenge was implementing 90-foot spans over the gaming floor, maximizing open space for an optimal guest experience. Our innovative solutions ensured structural integrity while meeting the client’s
architectural vision. The completed resort is a testament to our team’s expertise in large-scale hospitality and entertainment structural design.
