Capers Hall New Construction
Salas O’Brien provided comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering design services for the Citadel’s largest project to date: the new Capers Hall, a modern replacement for the original 1950s-era building. The upgraded facility includes 39 classrooms, a 250-seat auditorium, an art gallery, a mock courtroom, conference rooms, student relaxation areas, and new faculty offices. The auditorium offers premium acoustics, a wooden stage with curtains, and adjustable LED lighting.
Our team engineered a high-efficiency chilled-water system, advanced lighting solutions, and a state-of-the-art condensing-boiler hot-water system. These sustainable design choices contributed to the project earning LEED certification, highlighting our commitment to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
