Salas O’Brien is playing a pivotal role in advancing sustainable water solutions by designing a state-of-the-art Water Recycling Plant (WRP) for a leading AI data center client. Drawing upon our expertise in membrane bioreactor treatment technology, we developed an innovative system capable of supplying high-quality reclaimed water for large-scale evaporative cooling applications across multiple end users.

We designed the WRP to treat effluent from a neighboring Wastewater Treatment Facility, elevating the water to stringent reuse standards suitable for cooling tower makeup applications. Our team delivered a comprehensive design with a projected 15 million gallons daily (MGD) reuse water production capacity. In addition, we designed the effluent pump station, effluent force main, the water recycling plant itself (including advanced reuse storage and pumping systems), and the Reuse Force Mains delivering water to end users—demonstrating leadership in sustainable infrastructure and technical excellence.
