Acworth Health Park Ambulatory Surgery Center

The new ambulatory surgery center (ASC) of WellStar Health System is a single-story facility that spans around 25,000 square feet. It has a clinical space of 20,000 square feet and a dedicated support space of approximately 5,000 square feet. The ASC boasts of three operating rooms and three procedure rooms, with one of the procedure rooms designed for a future operating room. Additionally, it has facilities for central sterile processing and storage, pharmacy, frozen section processing, and 18 pre/post-op rooms.

Salas O’Brien provided commissioning services, ensuring the building’s systems were designed, installed, tested, and operated according to the owner’s requirements.
