Case Study

Southeast Georgia Health System

Camden and Brunswick Campuses

In this project, Salas O’Brien performed commissioning services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on the Camden Campus of the Southeast Georgia Health System. Our team’s contributions were part of a 91,000-square-foot hospital addition and 21,000-square-foot renovation of the existing hospital. The scope of commissioning covered low-voltage systems such as nurse call, security, data, and voice as well as an emergency power smoke evacuation system in the hospital’s operating rooms.

In addition to the work on the Camden Campus, Salas O’Brien also provided building systems commissioning services for the approximately 26,000-square-foot renovation of the third floor of the Brunswick Campus. Our team also designed associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment in the basement, on other floors of the hospital, and on the roof. As part of the process of testing the campus’s two existing emergency generators, our team also opted to add a new additional generator.
