The Retirement Systems of Alabama

RSA Battle House Tower

Located close to the waterfront in downtown Mobile, the RSA Battle House Tower holds the title of tallest building in Alabama. The 42-story structure houses close to 500,000 square feet of office space and is leased at over 95% occupancy to multiple prestigious tenants. The building is owned by the Retirement Systems of Alabama (RSA), the company that provides pension funds administration for employees of the state of Alabama, and it sits adjacent to the historic Battle House Renaissance Hotel. Its construction commenced in conjunction with a restoration and renovation of its historic neighbor. As a result of the collaborative construction and renovation, the tower and neighboring hotel are connected and share access to many luxuriously designed event spaces. Salas O’Brien provided full mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services as well as construction administration for the both the hotel and the tower—the base building and multiple tenant areas. With excellent design, beautiful architecture, and a lighted crown that’s visible from up to 30 miles away along Mobile Bay, the finished tower is generally regarded as one of the best office buildings in Mobile.
