H-E-B Grocery

40+ Locations

Texas’s H-E-B grocery is one of the largest independently owned food retailers in the United States—and it has been family owned for over 100 years. The H-E-B acrostic stands for one of the stores earliest owners, Howard E. Butt, but today the letters are more commonly associated with the company’s tagline: “Here Everything’s Better.”

H-E-B stores are known for their strong company culture (with enviable employee benefits), great customer service, and high-quality produce. Some locations even feature full-service coffee shops and samples prepared by the company’s Cooking Connection chefs to fuel customers as they shop. H-E-B serves around 155 communities throughout Texas and into Mexico, and each store is tailored to meet the unique needs of its surrounding community. This attentiveness to community fits right in with Salas O’Brien’s ethos—design for the good of communities—so we are excited to partner with H-E-B to make sure each individual store is operating at maximum efficiency.

The Salas O’Brien team has provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for more than 40 H-E-B stores ranging in size from 80,000 to 100,000 square feet. Some of the locations we have served include Magnolia, Spring Cypress, Huntsville, Katy, Bryan, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio.
