Case Study

El Camino Hospital Electrical Plant

This project involved an electrical study and design for a key electrical plant at El Camino Hospital, a full-service acute care hospital located in Los Gatos, California.

The project began with a power system analysis and schematic level drawings outlining a plan for the transfer of life and safety load for one of their critical buildings from 208V electrical service to 480V electrical service. The drawings also included existing and proposed single line diagrams and schematic level site plans.

In the subsequent design stage, the Salas O’Brien team fleshed out their proposed adjustments into a full design. Our engineers also created drawings for submission to OSHPD and followed up by completing a final inspection and verified compliance report to ensure that the designs met compliance standards.
