Buc-ee’s

Gas Stations and Car Washes

Founded in 1982 by Arch “Beaver” Aplin III and Don Wasek, Buc-ee’s is the Texas convenience store that lives up to the adage “everything’s bigger in Texas.” From the earliest days of the company, Aplin and Wasek were determined to create a new kind of convenience experience—one that consistently delivered on the promise of clean bathrooms, fully-stocked shelves, and more welcoming (and better paid) employees.

This approach paid off, and Buc-ee’s has grown to include over 30 locations throughout Texas, with further expansion into Florida and Alabama planned for the future. With its Texas- and beaver-themed souvenirs, extensive varieties of beef jerky, and its signature Beaver Nuggets (caramel-coated corn puffs), Buc-ee’s has become the road-trip stop of choice for Texans and tourists alike.

Buc-ee’s stores stand out for their scale and level of excellence. Achieving their ambitious goals has taken partnership with companies who are equally passionate about excellence, and Salas O’Brien is no exception. Salas O’Brien is proud to have provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work for all Buc-ee’s locations throughout Texas. This includes mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for car washes at locations offering that service, and, more importantly, complete power and control wiring for the gas pumps. The Salas O’Brien team is excited to assist Buc-ee’s as it continues to grow, and we look forward to continued, meaningful partnership.
