2000 Avenue of the Stars

Creative Artists Agency

With its sleek architecture and highly functional tenant spaces, 2000 Avenue of the Stars is a jewel at the heart of one of LA’s premier business districts, Century City. Built on the historic site of legendary 20th Century Fox’s original backlot studios, the state-of-the-art structure still maintains close ties to the film industry. Its main tenant, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), is an international entertainment and sports agency that represents major talents from J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg to Derek Jeter, Tom Hanks, and Britney Spears. The building is centrally located within LA, and it contains eight levels of underground parking and a 2,500-square-foot data center which services CAA.

2000 Avenue of the Stars’ developers prioritize environmental responsibility, so when they needed a partner to perform the building’s commissioning, they turned to Salas O’Brien. Our team commissioned the 12-story structure’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as its smoke control and redundant systems. The project was completed on time and within budget, and our team’s design-phase review resulted in corrections to the stair pressurization system that saved the owner more than $30,000 in change order costs. We’re proud of the work we completed to ensure that this building stays safe, efficient, and sustainable for years to come.
