Salas O’Brien has long embraced technology to deliver faster, better, higher-quality work. That spirit of innovation is accelerating today through Project AI, an initiative inviting team members across the company to share practical, AI-driven solutions.
The response from our global team has been extraordinary, with nearly 600 ideas pouring in from every corner of the organization. Each one focused on ways to streamline processes, harness data, and help teams deliver smarter, faster results. Our team’s overwhelming response proves they’re ready to embrace new ways of working and put them into action.
Advancing what’s next
After careful review by a panel of leaders from across the firm, a select group of ideas were identified to advance into development. These concepts span nearly every aspect of our work, driving internal efficiency, strengthening client delivery, and opening new opportunities for impact, including:
- Smarter project execution with tools for design markups, commissioning, scheduling, and structural optimization.
- Streamlined internal processes like proposal generation, contract review, and data integrity.
- Enhanced client-facing tools such as AI-driven reporting, system selection, HVAC advising, and cost/utility analysis.
As development begins, we are dedicating resources to turn these concepts into reality by engaging team members who submitted ideas, along with others in related areas of the company, in testing and refinement.
