As part of our commitment to sustainability and community impact, Salas O’Brien is turning routine business decisions into opportunities to help others. Through a partnership with Together with Families and Christian Brothers Automotive, our team in Daytona, Florida, has donated five vehicles to individuals rebuilding their lives.

This partnership has given the retired vehicles a second life with families in need, offering a more rewarding alternative to resale as we upgrade our vehicle fleet. Each vehicle, which could sell for up to $12,000 at auction, has instead been redirected to serve a higher purpose.

One recipient is a young woman who experienced homelessness at 18 years old. Now a first-generation college graduate, she’s working to reunite with her seven younger siblings who were placed in foster care. With a vehicle of her own, she now has reliable transportation to pursue work and family stability.

She’s done so much to get to where she is now. To know that our former fleet vehicles can help someone keep moving forward is incredibly rewarding. It reflects what we value as a company: using our resources to lift others up while improving how we operate.

This community engagement supports Salas O’Brien’s 50 Acts of Community Impact initiative—our commitment to service and giving back, in honor of our 50th anniversary—as well as our broader commitment to sustainability. As we look to the future, we remain focused on building a better world through the projects we deliver and the lives we touch along the way.
