Giving back to our communities is engrained in the culture across Salas O’Brien. Across the U.S. and Canada, teams have rolled up their sleeves, opened their hearts, and joined the fight against food insecurity. Whether through food drives, packing sessions, or volunteering at local banks, our people are stepping up to serve their communities with generosity and make an impact.

It’s a simple but powerful belief: no one should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. That’s why our teams have rallied behind hunger relief efforts this past year, driven not by obligation but compassion.

One of the more inspiring examples came from the team in Rosenberg, TX, who spent a day preparing more than 2,000 lunches for Lunches of Love.

We walked in ready to help, and we walked out completely inspired. Knowing those meals would be in the hands of kids who need them was a great feeling.

These efforts may seem like one-off events, but together they create a company-wide movement to support food banks and hunger relief programs across North America. No matter how big or small, each action added up to something truly meaningful.

Here’s a look at the organizations our teams have supported over the past year:

  • Alameda County Fall Food Drive (Oakland, CA)
  • Thanksgiving Food Drive (Dublin, Cincinnati, Granville, OH)
  • Daily Bread Food Bank (Toronto, Ontario, CAN)
  • Tarrant Area Food Bank (Fort Worth, TX)
  • Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma (Oklahoma City, OK)
  • Feed My Starving Children (Schaumburg, IL)
  • Lunches of Love (Rosenberg, TX)

We’re also proud to join other Blackstone portfolio companies to support CoreGiving Day 2025 and its mission to address food insecurity nationwide.

These community engagements continue Salas O’Brien’s 50 Acts of Community Impact initiative—our commitment to service and giving back, in honor of our 50th anniversary. Our teams have already almost reached our goal to complete 50 acts by the end of 2025, and we’re not slowing down!
