Keith Simon joins NIBS webinar on advancing building enclosure commissioning
Keith Simon cohosts a discussion on the future of building enclosure commissioning and the modernization of a foundational industry guideline.
Salas O’Brien’s Keith Simon, FAIA, BECxP, CxA+BE, CPHC, LEED AP, CEI, VP of Design Phase Services, will cohost a virtual webinar presented by the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) on August 20. Kayla Maines, principal and senior architect at Terracon, and David Holtzclaw, chief geek at Transduction Technologies, and Keith will talk about the future of Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) and the modernization of NIBS Guideline 3.
Titled “Nerding Out with NIBS – Rebuilding NIBS Guideline 3 – and a BETEC Bonanza,” the webinar will explore efforts to update the guideline that helped establish today’s building enclosure commissioning process. Attendees will learn how collaboration among subject matter experts is helping strengthen this foundational resource and support the continued evolution of commissioning best practices.
As chair of the Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC), Keith works alongside industry leaders to advance building performance and address technical challenges affecting the built environment.
