Justin Kestner, PE, MS, MBA, senior managing principal at Salas O’Brien, will share strategies for restoring schools after disaster at the PLRB Large Loss Conference in Grapevine, Texas. He will co-present the session “Coordinating and Adjusting Large Catastrophic Claims for Public School Districts” on November 13 at 3:30 p.m. CT, and again on November 14 at 10:30 a.m. CT.

The session will walk attendees through the complex realities of managing large-scale losses when natural disasters strike public school systems. Kestner, along with Val Mansfield, executive general adjuster at McLarens, and James Parris, executive general adjuster at Zurich, will discuss how to balance the urgent need to restore operations with the competing pressures from school administrators, community leaders, and insurers.

Drawing on decades of forensic engineering experience, Kestner brings a deep understanding of how facilities perform under extreme conditions. As president and CEO of Haag Global, he guided the firm’s 2024 integration into Salas O’Brien, adding more than a century of forensic innovation to the company’s expertise. His leadership continues to guide the Haag forensics team, integrating its deep technical expertise with the broad capabilities and services offered across Salas O’Brien.
