Henry Pramono to present on all-electric specialty cancer center design at PDC Summit
Henry Pramono will present on the design of all-electric healthcare facilities at the ASHE PDC Summit in Atlanta, taking place March 9-12.

Henry Pramono, PE, LEED AP, Principal at Salas O’Brien and an expert in energy, resiliency, and clean energy for healthcare and education facilities, will present “Designing a Sustainable, All-Electric Specialty Cancer Center” at the 2025 PDC Summit™—The International Summit & Exhibition on Health Facility Planning, Design & Construction™. Pramono will join Louise Belair, Long Duong, and Adam DiMuria in sharing insights from the Bellflower Radiation Oncology project, a sustainable, all-electric specialty cancer center that prioritizes the patient experience. The session, led by representatives from Kaiser Permanente and The SLAM Collaborative, will explore:
- Key design strategies and elements that integrate sustainability with therapeutic and interactive patient spaces.
- Sustainability metrics and critical design priorities that create a calming, customized environment.
- The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design approach, including strategies to eliminate natural gas, implement innovative DC lighting, and align sustainability goals through collaborative pre-construction efforts.
- Attendees will gain actionable insights into how sustainability and patient experience can work together to shape the future of healthcare design.
