After eight years of planning and development, the Embassy Suites Gulf Shores Beach Resort is now open, welcoming guests to one of Alabama’s newest coastal landmarks. Salas O’Brien led comprehensive engineering services for this multi-year project, supporting every phase from schematic design through construction administration. The team designed HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, voice/data cabling, and access control systems to meet Hilton brand standards and all local code requirements.

Salas O’Brien project leads joined key stakeholders and local officials on September 25 to celebrate the grand opening at the “Sun, Sand & Suites” event. Nearly 300 guests attended a ribbon-cutting with the Chamber, formal remarks, a donation to the Alabama Coastal Foundation, and beach-inspired festivities showcasing the resort’s features and amenities.

The eight-story beachfront resort offers a full lineup of amenities designed for comfort and connection, including:

• 257 guestrooms with ocean views and modern finishes
• 13,620 square feet of meeting space for events and gatherings
• Expansive public areas that bring guests together in a relaxed, coastal setting
• Rooftop and indoor pools for year-round enjoyment
• A 3,700-square-foot Starbucks and retail space on-site for added convenience
• An 88,000-square-foot parking garage featuring EV charging stations

Working closely with local officials and the community, Salas O’Brien’s team helped create a fully integrated, code-compliant hospitality facility built for long-term performance and guest satisfaction.
