Salas O’Brien’s Byron Taylor, vice president and senior project manager, will take the stage twice at Advancing Data Center Design & Engineering West in San Jose, California, from July 29-31. Through two sessions, Byron will share practical insights on accelerating project delivery and discuss the trends shaping the next generation of data centers.

In his case study, “Optimizing Power Generation Equipment Selection & Sizing to Accelerate Deployment,” Byron will examine how thoughtful equipment selection can help balance immediate capacity needs with future scalability. The session will explore strategies for evaluating generation technologies, improving deployment speed, and aligning equipment decisions with installation and commissioning schedules to support earlier energization and operational readiness.

Byron will also join a panel discussion on the technologies and trends driving data center design. The session, “What Does the Future of Data Center Design Look Like?” will explore how AI is reshaping facility requirements, the future of cooling technologies, emerging power sources, and where the industry may be headed over the next five years.

With more than 30 years of experience designing mission critical infrastructure, Byron brings a practical perspective to helping clients deliver resilient, scalable facilities that are built for changing demands.
