Our client
PREIT is a publicly traded real estate investment trust that owns and oversees high-quality malls that create spaces for retailers and customers to connect. With properties throughout the Northeast, Southeast and now the Midwest, PREIT continues to expand their reach nationally.
Their challenge
With the vast changes in the retail industry from the popularity of malls in the 1980s to online shopping that is so popular today, Woodland Mall was in need of an update and redevelopment to attract new retailers as well as new customers to a traditional mall.
Our solution
Working with JPRA Architects, our team provided design expansion and coordination of 97,360 square feet of new tenant spaces, including Von Maur, Williams-Sonoma, Cheesecake Factory and more. Our design included 15 kilovolts of new service and distribution.
The results
The new spaces have revitalized the mall, and the redevelopment has successfully positioned the space as the premier shopping center in Western Michigan.
