Craig Realty Group
Outlets at Traverse Mountain
Salas O’Brien designed the mechanical and plumbing systems for shell and tenant improvements during Phase 1 of Craig Realty Group’s Utah outlets. The $43.3 million project involved a tight schedule, and our team’s efficient work enabled completion by the holiday deadline.
Our client
Situated just south of Salt Lake City, Utah, the Outlets at Traverse Mountain are easily accessible via two of the western United States’ busiest thoroughfares: Interstate 15 and Interstate 80. The outlets occupy 50 acres of master-planned space and feature highly popular retail brands like Michael Kors, Under Armour, Calvin Klein, and Nike.

Their challenge
Craig Realty Group engaged the Salas O’Brien team to design the mechanical and plumbing systems for the shell and most of the tenant improvements for Phase 1 of these outlets’ construction. The project was fast-tracked for completion in just 11 months, a schedule that required some of the trades to perform two shifts a day, six days a week.
Our solution
Our team’s work encompassed 225,000 square feet of retail and shopper areas, including the 12,000-square-foot central entrance (home to a 50-foot indoor/outdoor fireplace), upscale public and family restrooms, and radiant heated walkways supported by boilers we specified.
The results
The finished mall houses over 50 retail vendors, and it was open in time for holiday shopping.
