Consolidation of Three Buildings into Two: Optimizing Floor Space within a Tight Construction Schedule
Our client challenged us with an ambitious goal of consolidating three office buildings into two at their Redmond Town Center campus. In addition to optimizing floor space, the scope included adding new amenities such as a generous work café and game room to attract and retain talent in a competitive market.
The designs included “neighborhoods” that organize teams into open offices adjacent to natural light, interspersed by breakout spaces with a variety of furniture and writeable surfaces.
Meeting rooms accommodate more focused work, and work cafés adorn each level with a kitchen and lounge area. A game room, test labs, locker rooms, and a bike room offer enhanced amenities to employees.
We worked with the client and contractor to strategically divide the project into phases to provide clarity in employee relocation and opportunities for our client to recalibrate the budget and scope as needed, a service they especially valued with a tight construction schedule.
