When an increase in demand necessitated the expansion of Plumrose’s production in Council Bluffs, Iowa, leadership decided it was the perfect opportunity to build an upgraded facility with safety, sustainability, and responsibility in mind.

The completed facility met Plumrose’s goals and increased production capacity by 25 percent. The finished project also earned a LEED Silver status and the 2013 Sustainable Plant of the Year title from Food Engineering.
