National Geospatial-Intelligence
Agency Office
Our client
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is a combat support agency under the United States Department of Defense and a member of the United States Intelligence Community with the primary mission of collecting, analyzing, and distributing geospatial intelligence. Their work allows the president and national policymakers to make crucial decisions about national security issues.
Project highlights
The challenge
The 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Act mandated that NGA consolidate operations into one new facility. They needed a campus that would support their mission with a wide variety of building types and maintain information security through a mix of physical and technological infrastructure and protocols.
Our solution
We provided a wide range of construction management services including design management such as hands-on program management support, quality assurance support, budget and cost analyses, document control, and subject matter expertise in electrical engineering.
The results
We ensured that the project stayed on time and on budget, while ensuring construction quality and safety as various phases of the project ramped up and slowed down based on congressionally mandated deadlines.
