LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch
Salas O’Brien performed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for the third development phase of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, a mixed-use center with retail, office, and entertainment space in Katy, Texas.
Our client
LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is an expansive multi-use development located in a rapidly expanding western Houston suburb. This retail and residential hub sits just southwest of the city’s thriving Energy Corridor, home to major operations for international energy leaders like BP America and Shell Oil Company. LaCenterra offers upscale shopping, dining, and entertainment options that bring together the Cinco Ranch master-planned community and wider Katy area residents.

Their challenge
The center was developed in multiple phases, starting with retail and office space and then expanding to include additional square footage and the Central Green—an outdoor event venue used for open-air festivals, concerts, movie nights, and other community events. The property developers approached Salas O’Brien for engineering solutions in preparation for the third phase of LaCenterra’s expansion.
Our solution
Our team provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for the addition of 37,000 square feet of retail space, 36,000 square feet of office space, and a massive parking garage.
The results
The finished project integrates with the existing spaces and enhances the lifestyle hub’s old-town charm and sophistication.
