Designing a New Science & Tech Hub to Support Innovation
Johns Hopkins needed a new innovation hub to support a broad range of life sciences and technology education and research. They needed a space that could adaptively accommodate long-term and short-term tenants whether they needed wet or dry lab space, office space, or a combination of both.
We designed all of the mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and laboratory plumbing systems and provided commissioning services to create a functional, comfortable, and attractive environment for the base building and for the fit-out for their Technology Ventures and FastForward business accelerator.
The 1812 Ashland Avenue building supports the commercialization of new technologies by providing 175,000 square feet of collaborative work space, including startup laboratory space, hub space, and office space.
