The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC) exists to provide financial, investment, and construction management services to state agencies and entities. When these entities incur debt or seek out financial and investment advisory counsel, GSFIC oversees and approves the process.

The 31,600-square-foot GSFIC government building at Two Capitol Square houses multiple state offices, including the Georgia State Offices of Planning and Budget. When the building underwent a renovation, the department came to Salas O’Brien to meet the project’s unique engineering needs.

Salas O’Brien performed fundamental and enhanced commissioning for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the renovated structure, in addition to building envelope services. In the process, our team obtained unique knowledge of issues related to the nature and performance capabilities of historic envelope assemblies.
