Their challenge
This private pre-K through grade 12 school has engaged Salas O’Brien for our engineering design expertise on a wide variety of projects over the years. Their latest project involved the expansion and renovation of their auditorium, balcony, theater, dance studio, concessions, control room, and box office spaces, and they knew they could trust our team to deliver exceptional results.
Our solution
Our team provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design and engineering for this expansion and renovation project. With the updated 650-seat auditorium, 250-seat balcony, and other studio and box office spaces, our design also included major upgrades to all of the building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure systems. In order to update our client’s fire protection systems, our design included new fire sprinklers for the entire campus.
The results
Our team’s work on this project expanded the new building’s worth and capacity. The resulting building now matches the rest of the campus’ contemporary look and feel. In addition, the added balcony has expanded the auditorium’s seating from 600 to 1,100, welcoming more guests from the community to the school’s events.
