El Camino Hospital
Over the years, Salas O’Brien has helped El Camino maintain a standard of excellence in their facilities. Our team has provided engineering services for remodels to the hospital imaging department, central chiller water plant, sterile processing department, and central boiler plant.
Our client
El Camino Hospital was established in 1961 as a full-service hospital in the heart of Silicon Valley. Offering acute care for the South Bay, the hospital’s specialties include cardiac care, dialysis, cancer care, maternal child health services, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and behavioral health.
Project highlights
Their challenge
El Camino’s leadership believes deeply that continuously improving building technology will result in improved patient care, and they have partnered with Salas O’Brien to make this vision a reality.
Our solution
Over the past years, our team has completed distinct, OSHPD-1 permitted designs for remodels of the hospital’s imaging department, central chiller water plant, sterile processing department, and central boiler plant. Our team also provided a completed redesign for the hospital’s Mechanical Room #1 (with OSHPD submittal and back-check), and we created two unique design solutions for Operating Room 2—a project that brought the room’s airflow conditions up to current ASHRAE standards.
The results
Our work with El Camino has helped the hospital maintain a high standard of excellence in their facilities, and we look forward to a long relationship helping the hospital achieve its ambitious goals.
