They also provide near comprehensive healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics nationwide.
Project highlights
The challenge
The US Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration needed up-to-date as-built information for the C.W. Bill Young and West Palm Beach VA Medical Centers. They needed to manage the environment to prevent the spread of waterborne pathogens and to isolate and shut down systems quickly in case of emergency.
Our solution
Our team provided on-site surveys and field investigations to develop plumbing and architectural Building Information Models (BIM). We also evaluated Legionella and other waterborne pathogens and developed communication and site-specific training plans for facility management staff members.
The results
The Veterans Health Administration can now view the domestic water system independently from other plumbing so it can be managed for patient safety during facility management operations.
