Providing Structural Engineering for Fire ‘Superstation’ in Denver
Denver’s population boom and the district expansion increased the number of fire emergency calls that Adams County Fire and Rescue received. They needed additional facilities to support growing operations.
Our team provided structural engineering to design this masonry and cold-formed steel structure. Architecturally exposed structural steel at the elevations of the five apparatus bays added a layer of complexity to the project.
The fire station features fire gear support and storage, training walls, classrooms, 12 bunk rooms, and a ropes training course as well as fitness, dining, and administration space.
