Structural Design to Support a Total of 173 Stories of Space in a Mixed-Use Environment
This new mixed-use development consists of a two residential towers, one with 70 stories and one with 66 stories with an adjacent 37-story commercial office building.
This project is nestled below the Gardiner expressway and the Air Canada Centre at the base of Toronto, a prime location with easy access to Union Station. In addition to the three towers, there is a sign there is a significant retail/commercial podium and a four-level underground parking garage. Significant challenges on this project include sway control for the tall residential towers to ensure occupant comfort and control of ground water as the project is situated in reclaimed land beyond the original Toronto harbor front.
90 Harbour was awarded a 2018 Ontario Concrete Award for Structural Design Innovation.
