RMS Engineers joins Salas O’Brien expanding our presence in Texas and adding industrial and manufacturing capacity.

Salas O’Brien announced that RMS Engineers has joined the company, creating a combined firm of 26 offices with more than 675 employee-owners, 140 registered professionals and clients that are the most significant companies in the United States.

RMS and its office in Dallas expand Salas O’Brien’s Texas presence and add a dedicated team that delivers highly technical engineering expertise in industrial, manufacturing, bulk material, chemical process, and renewable energy projects.

I am so excited to have the RMS team join Salas O’Brien as new employee-owners. Their team has an outstanding reputation for providing technical knowledge and excellent service. Their DNA and spirit of collaboration are the same as ours. Working together, we will be able to serve clients with an even greater depth of experience, both in Texas and around the country.

RMS will continue to be managed locally by its current leaders and will adopt the Salas O’Brien name after a transition period. The transaction closed on October 31, 2019, and news of the merger was shared just after the close with the RMS and Salas O’Brien teams.

Partnering with Salas O’Brien gives the RMS team exceptional growth and opportunity as we expand relationships and serve more clients than ever. But growth alone isn’t enough: as our leadership group considered the future, we knew we had to find a firm with the same values, vision, and excellence in design, not to mention one that wanted us to maintain local decision-making and project accountability. We have found all of this and more in Salas O’Brien—and that is why we’re so glad to join the Salas O’Brien family.

RMS joins Salas O’Brien as the third merger in 2019, after WMA Consulting Engineers and OMB Electrical Engineers joined the company earlier this year. Salas O’Brien’s unique approach to mergers keeps local leadership in place while taking advantage of a unified brand, expanded service capabilities and nationwide collaboration.
