Salas O’Brien announced today that Idibri has joined the company, further strengthening Salas O’Brien’s technology expertise, adding new capabilities in acoustics and theatre consulting, and creating an integrated firm of 52 offices, more than 1,350 team members, and 330 registered professionals.
The Idibri team’s portfolio complements Salas O’Brien’s existing work for cultural and entertainment clients and positions the combined team to provide even more comprehensive, multi-discipline services both in the United States and internationally.
As the next step in Salas O’Brien’s strategy to be local everywhere, with international resources, the Idibri team will continue to be managed by its current leaders and will adopt the Salas O’Brien name after a transition period.
The merger closed on December 1, 2021, and news was shared soon afterward with both the Idibri and Salas O’Brien teams.
“The Idibri team’s focus on technology, acoustics, and theatre planning will be a huge asset to the clients we serve,” said Darin Anderson, Salas O’Brien chairman and CEO. “Increasing our capabilities in these areas has long been a priority for Salas O’Brien, and Idibri’s recognized expertise combined with its outstanding team culture makes it a perfect fit to join our team.”
Salas O’Brien continues to grow as part of an ambitious plan to create the most respected AEC firm in the world as measured by our clients and team members. Idibri represents the sixth merger in 2021 for Salas O’Brien.
“Our team is passionate about designing for human connection in the built environment,” said Craig Janssen, Idibri’s Managing Director. “Joining Salas O’Brien takes that approach to the next level, helping us collaborate on more projects and creating more opportunity for our team members while keeping everything that has made us so successful for the past 30 years.”
