Case studies
Efficient project management kick-starts new food production line
Salas O’Brien provided engineering and project management services for a new food product manufacturing facility process line. Our team coordinated the installation and commissioning of new equipment with both local and remote contractors. The new process equipment includes a wet/dry mixer, pumping equipment for butter transfer and packaging, a garlic micro cutter and pumping system, garlic roasting ovens, and an automated water batching system. Manufacturing process upgrades completed without interruption
An international beverage manufacturer needed to upgrade a production line to begin producing bottled water. Our team provided water process system upgrades such as a reverse osmosis water system, including design, detailed engineering, and construction supervision for six plants across Canada. In addition, the project’s second phase consisted of adding the capability to produce high-energy drinks in two of the six facilities. Process and packaging upgrades drive efficiency and sustainability
Salas O’Brien provided engineering, procurement, and construction services for Molson Coors’ new canning line. We designed the line for maximum versatility to handle multiple different kinds of beverages, from beers to seltzers and beyond. Our optimized design improved operational efficiency and reduced waste, energy consumption, rework, and labor requirements. The shift from glass packaging to cans was a strategic move to reduce packaging weight, transportation energy, and overall material impact by removing plastic from the process. Learn more.
