Wellbeing Center

The Wellbeing Center is a new building devoted to the health and wellness of employees to promote a balanced and healthy work lifestyle. The Center, located in the Center of this confidential client’s campus, has a gym, dedicated spaces for health services, and a grab-and-go juice bar.

Salas O’Brien provided structural design and consultation. The building’s structural plan incorporates a cutting-edge seismic system to withstand severe earthquakes in the San Francisco Bay Area while supporting the architectural concept for the structure. Structural elements include a steel-framed floor and structural roof systems with concrete fill on a metal deck. In addition, the building structure supports sustainability objectives, such as radiant heating and photovoltaics.
