Case Study

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD

Ken Pridgeon Stadium

Built in 1977, Ken Pridgeon Stadium was the first of two football fields to be constructed for the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. As part of a bond package passed in May 2014, the stadium and associated facilities received a renovation—and Salas O’Brien’s longstanding relationship with the district made the firm a natural choice to complete the work.

The massive 900,000-square-foot renovation included the field house, concession stands, restrooms, ticket booths, public address system, and parking lot lighting. The stadium facilities now have complete and functional HVAC and electrical systems that are designed to handle the explosive growth in this district serving more than 100,000 students.
